Why do I have to pay VAT on UK courses?
The type of supply provided by Euromoney Training is that of a delegate space. Under the EU 6th Directive, Article 9.2 c, the place of supply of this type of service is where they are physically carried out. If the event is held in the UK, the place of supply is the UK and therefore UK VAT has to be charged at 20%. A VAT reclaim form will be provided upon request.
VISAs
What information is required for a VISA letter?
VISA letters will only be granted when full payment has been made. Anyone suspected of applying for a training course simply to gain a VISA letter will be reported to their embassy.
Should you require a VISA letter, a VISA invitation letter will be provided from Euromoney Legal Training. This states that a delegate is registered to attend a training course. VISA invitation letters will be provided on confirmation of course payment. MIS training has no influence over any embassy and whether a VISA will be granted. Delegates are solely responsible for obtaining a VISA and failure to do so will not make the participant exempt from the cancellation policy.
The following information is required for us to process a visa letter:
Your full name as it appears on your passport
Your date of birth
Your passport number
Your passport issue date
Your passport expiry date
Please also indicate the country from which you are applying.
What does Euromoney Legal Trainings BAC Accreditation mean for me?
The BAC is recognised the world over and represents the clearest mark of educational quality. When attending a UK course your visa application process should now be less problematic. When you apply for a visa to attend one of Euromoney Legal Trainings programmes in the UK, you now need to apply for a student visitor visa. If you have any queries please call +44 (0)20 7779 8601 or email legaltraining@euromoneytraining.com for more information.
