Course Overview
This course takes you to the heart of an industry that feeds seven billion people and growing. Agribusiness comprises all the industries 'from farm to fork'. It covers the supply of agricultural inputs, the production and transformation of agricultural products and their distribution to final consumers. Agribusiness is one of the main generators of employment and income worldwide. Traditional production and distribution methods are giving way to more closely coordinated and better planned linkages between agribusiness firms, farmers, retailers and others in the supply chains.

The Course Director has over 20 years of business experience including consultation, valuation, investment analysis and modelling to many agriculture companies and government agencies in Europe, Asia and Middle East.
His expertise lies in investment analysis and valuation especially in the agribusiness sectors. He has previously worked for the Ministry of Defence in London and the London Commodity Exchange as a Business Development Director. He was also the Head of Research for Hudson Venture Partners, responsible for the selection and evaluation of investment projects, business valuation and account management.
He is the Vice President for MHCi, specialising in corporate finance and economic input to firms delivering in corporate social responsibility issues, and has also worked for many years for UNCTAD as a consultant on agricultural and commodity risk management, including presenting at the annual Burgenstock Conference.
The Course Director is also an author of many best-selling books on trade and commodities. He has written hundreds of articles on commodities for different journals and magazines. He is currently working on his latest book on the Valuation and Modelling of Agribusinesses. The Course Director holds a First Class Honors degree from Hertford College, Oxford University and an M. Phil. in Politics from Exeter University.
